标题: 签证血泪儿童节美领馆闯关记

　　经过一个多月的焦虑和期待，我今天终于如愿以尝的拿到了通往美国之路的F-1签证
?由于这其中我从各BBS上获取了很多非常有用的信息(当然谣传也不少)，许多成功或失
败了的网友也无私与大家分享经验和教训，使我感到我也非常有责任把我的准备工作和
签证经过写出来让大家看到。希望后来签友能从中得到一些有益的启发。与其空喊抗击
美帝的口号，不如现在就行动起来挫败万恶的资本家企图拒签中国学生的阴谋。
　　说实话，今年美国经济繁荣，大学全奖的形势也非常好。我今年就拿了许多OFFER，
周围也有拿好几个OFFER的，甚至很少发给外国学生的FELLOWSHIP也有数例。我出于专业
与导师以及前(钱？)途的考虑，经过痛苦的比较和选择，终于拒掉了几个很牛的学校，
而选择了当前的University of XXXX,当然了，这个学校也是很牛的，只不过不是发给我
OFFER中名气最大的而已。我早在四月中就拿到了I-20，不过美国有开学前三个月才允许
如境的规定，有一位签友就是八月二十三号开学，他四月去签，虽然通过了，但让他五
月二十四号才能去在护照上盖章。应此我打算五月中去签证。不料北约轰炸中国使馆事
发，中美关系陡然恶化，一时看不清签证形势，就拖了两周。其实这一段时间来中国护
照全奖签F-1 有过的有据的，但数量太少不好分析。不过我的一位好友顺利签过，给了
我很大的信心，就毅然决定去签了。
　　话虽说全奖有很大把握签过，但决不能掉以轻心。每年在中国都有大把一签不过的
例子，全奖被拒到LC一年不让再签的也不罕见。百分之九十的全奖都能过，但若不幸落
入那百分之十不过的就惨了。二签实在是一件有危险又麻烦的事，一定要争取一次成功
。
　　中国的形势据说是上海F-1好签，北京F-2好签。我就有在上海签的打算。不过我来
新加坡之前是在北京念书的，好象要回去签的话只能去上海。后来经过多方打听，终于
有了可靠的官方消息说只要有上海地区附近的暂住证就能在上海签，我就托父母搞定了
我在南京的暂住证(很EASY的啦)，以备在新加坡一旦被拒就回上海签。新加坡拿中国护
照的签F-1的形势很不明朗，谣传很多，不过确实听过不少被拒的实例，因此有很多国大
学生跑回国去一签的。谣传归谣传，我认识的签过的也不少，所以我决心在新加坡签一
次，如果别人能过的话，我也一定有资格获得签证。
　　网上签友的经历固然精彩，但大多缺乏总结,都差不多。要真正在理论高度上指导签
证的准备工作，还得要徐小平老师的宝书：美国签证的哲学！当年俞敏洪的红宝书为无
数新东方校友所珍爱，如今又要依靠徐老师的宝书来闯最后一关。徐老师的哲学并不高
深，却非常的有效。当我在北京的哥们儿把书寄给我的时候，第一遍读就有毛色顿开的
感觉，现在回头看看，可以说如果没有这本书，我今天一定折在新加坡美使馆了。所以
我怀着崇敬的心情向各位签友推荐徐老师的哲学(千万别把我当成托儿了)，一定要象读
红宝书那样来读徐老师的哲学教材。下面我详述我的签证经历时，有很多掷地有声的名
言都是从书里搬过来的，或是改了后再拿来用的，所以就不特别指出出处了。
　　全奖被拒签，其他理由都不可怕，如口语，材料不真实，成绩不太好等等。真正可
怕的是移民倾向，一但被以移民倾向拒了，翻身都难。因此，在签证之前一定要针对移
民倾向详详细细准备几套说辞。都说不要预测签证官的问题，但自己的理由一定要清清
楚楚的准备好，一旦有诸如“What is you plan after you graduate?", "Why you wi
ll come back to China?", 就可以拿出来用。徐老师的书里就有很多现成的材料，字字
句句闪金光。以徐师指出的要点组织几套符合自己的一定要回国的理由，一二三四点，
ABCD条，反复背，背熟了，能脱口而出不打绊儿了，就能去签了，当然在流利的基础上
还能跟据情景自由发挥一些说法就更好了。我的准备材料有4K之多，等一下大家就可一
睹其风菜。
　　当然了，最终要得还是在面试的候表现出强大的自信。无论金庸还是古龙还是陈青
云，都反复叫育我们邪不胜正。腐朽的资产阶级代理人怎能玩的过根正苗红的四有新人
？中气不足，目关散乱，面色青黄，喃喃嗫嚅都可能导致被拒。嗜血诗人顾城有诗云：
自信是自
　　信者的通行证，自卑是自卑者的墓志铭。所以一定要理直气壮，目光炯炯，威严的
逼视着签证官，让他脸上有被针扎的感觉，你的自信就出来了。
　　我的材料是五月24日交给AGENT的。在国大联络的几个签友中，我是第三个闯关的，
前两个都成了。都很轻松，没被刁难。还有两个被拒的，都是移民倾向，不过我不认识
，听说而已。还有就是著名的白衣飘飘自费MBA也签过了，这个例子难度很大，大家可以
去看他的自述。
　　儿童节这天，当国内天真烂漫的小朋友们兴高采烈的时候，我迎来了关键的一天。
晚上没太睡好，不过不影响我依旧神采奕奕。吃过早饭，梳妆打扮一番，穿上ALEN DEN
ON衬衣，套上DOCKERS长裤，系上CK皮带，再登上KICKERS皮鞋，头上喷上MOSSE，看看也
人模狗样了，就出门打车到了美国驻新加坡大使馆。还不到九点，以经排了近二十人的
队的。我刚到队尾站好就开使发号了，发到号就能去大厅等候了，当然中间要安检。进
了大厅，里面还有椅子坐，又有空调，人也少，比国内签证条件不知道好多少。找张椅
子坐下环顾一番，至少有两个中国学生签F-1的被我识破，一个辣妹其实我早就认识，和
我去一个州的，另一个帅哥衣着可谓放荡不羁：凉鞋，牛仔，T-shirt，和他一比我就算
的上是玉树临风了。
　　大约九点十分五号窗口开了，签证官是一个中国老头(当然是美籍了)，特别仔细，
好象问的问题也特别刁钻，每一个都要被他盘问十来分钟。真是中国人何苦为难中国人
，上述两个签友都被这个老头拒掉了，我只知道这两人拿着护照气愤而黯然的走了，怎
么被据的听不清楚。其中帅姐还与那个老头争执了一小会儿，终于不支的退下了。这一
下形势急转直下，我的心里也凉了大半截，突然紧张起来，手心也见了汉。只希望快另
开一个窗口，让我避开这个龙的传人。我的那个成功的签友说他是被一个华裔LADY签过
的，很快很EASY。我就盼着这个LADY快点来。到了十点多，好象有一个马来护照的旅游
签证被拒了，不过B-1模样的都过了。快到我了，肾上腺素开始加速分泌。
　　就在我前一位被盘问的时候，三号窗口开了，不过令人失望的是出来的不是那个LA
DY，而是一个NATIVE的米国老头，头发有点白了，好象就是给白衣飘飘签的拿一个，也
是拒掉我一个熟人的熟人的家伙。他叫了我的号，我按捺住心头的波澜，昂首走到三号
窗口前，脸上装出自信的微笑，露出三分之一的牙齿。
(M:Me,O:Officer)
M:Good morning, Sir.
(递进我的号牌和面试邀请信?
O:Morning. Wait a while please.
(用鼠标器乱点了几下后去拿来了我所有的申请材料)
M:No problem.
O:So, you came to Singapore in the Septemper of 1997?
(看着我的OF156表)
M:Yah, I will graduate from National University of Singapore in July.
O:Are you sure?
M:Of course. In fact I have already finished my thesis, I can submit it to t
he registrar at anytime if I like, but my supervisor wishes me to work on a
project for one or two more months. Once I have submitted my thesis, my shol
arship will be suspended. So I haven't submitted it yet.
O: Enn.....
O:You are going to University of XXXX....
O:You have full financial support....
(都在我的OF156表上，我就没啃声)
O:Why you choose University of XXXX?
(窃喜，问题上路子了)
M:This is because U. of XXX has very excellent graduate program in my intere
sted field, its Dept. of xxxx ranks top ten among the best US universities.
There is first class facilities. Besides, my future supervisors are very out
standing professors, they are the real masters in their research field. It i
s my greatest honor to be able to study under their instructions. What's mor
e, the university
awarded me a fellowship on a very competitive base, because of my strong aca
demic background. With the fellowship, there is no RA or TA duties for me, a
nd it is renewable for a consecutive four years. Thus I can be more concentr
ated on my graduate studies and research. This is such a nice offer that one
should not miss.
(想了一会儿，开始发炮)
O:Where will you go after your graduation，United States, Singapore, or Chin
a.
(毫不犹豫的)
M：Definitely I will come back to my homeland, China, to pursue my future sp
lendid career and decent life.
(根据徐书，这时的回答要果断而简练)
(摇头，奸笑)
Oorry, I cannot give you the visa, because you cannot convince me by your
plan. I have never been to China, and I have no idea about how are the chanc
es in china to find a good job as you want, and I don't know how is your pro
spect in China. So, you'd better come back to china to apply you visa there.

(TMD, 亮刀子了。这样的问题徐书上没有，不过一样的兵来酱挡，水来土烟，我这时还
算镇定。)
(开始背诵，加一点自由发挥,语速要快，声音要大)
M:But I do have very strong and sufficient reasons for me to come back to Ch
ina to start my career. Would your like to listen to my reasons?
(耸耸肩)
O:Go on.
(保持语速，开始加上手部动作)
M:First I would like to explain why I choose xxxx
as my graduate specialty. xxxx is a comparatively new engineering branch but
very prospective, it is widely reseached and applied in America. But in chi
na, the research and application in this field are far from well developed.
For example, there is dept. of xxxx in most US universities, but there is se
ldom cooresponding department in chinese universities, even the best ones in
china. On the other hand, specialist with backgournd of xxxx is in great ne
ed everywhere for a developing China. Thus the future chances and challenges
in this field is much more exciting than those in USA. If I want to stay in
USA, I would choose Electrical Engineering or Computer Science as my specia
lty, because it is very easy to find a job in USA in these fields. But I fir
mly believe that I can have a much more prespective future career in china a
s a specialist of xxxx in China. Second, because of the pineering role USA p
laying in science, engineering and education, a Ph.D. degree issue by famous
USA unversity is highly respected in China, not only in China, but all over
the world. We who got US university scholarships are top students of china,
after four or five years study in USA and with a esteemed Ph.D. degree, my
personal and professional abilities will be greatly improved, so we will be
equiped with much higher competence and ability than other peers in China. S
o it is very easy for me to find a decent and well paid job in China, and th
e future chances for promotion are also very good. Third, you know that the
family value is very important in our Chinese culture, I love my parents and
my sibling, who are all living in China. I can imagine that I could lead a
happy life in USA without my family supporting me and sharing my pleasure an
d joy. You see, there is no reason for me to stay in USA after my graduation
.
(这么长，丫也够耐心的，听我讲，也没打岔。讲完我额头汗都处来了)
(注视着我，不自然的笑)
O:I cannot believe you. As to the report, 95% chinese student didn't come ba
ck to China after they had finished their study in USA,how do you explain th
is?
(TNND, 我那个的熟人的熟人就是被这一刀砍死的，白衣飘飘也被问了这个问题。这时
我感到大势不妙，这家伙好象存心要拒我)
(Cao,我豁出去了，背出第三段长篇大论)
M：That 95% of Chinese student did not come back is not a reasonalbe logic t
hat I also will not come back. maybe there are thousands of reasons for thei
r not returning, none of them is suitable for me. As I have said, there are
stronger more persuisive reasons for me to return to China to pursue my drea
m and ambition, that is: a successful self-achievement, a meanful career and
a decent life, which is very diffult for a foreigner in USA. I can promise
you that even 99% chinese student choose to stay in USA, I will not, because
of the spledid future prospective career that are waiting for me in China.
It is unfair for you not to believe me simply because of the offence committ
ed by others, for it deprived my right for a fair interview, which would giv
e my particular situation a reasonable judgement. So, would you please consi
der my application again carefully?
(象一块XX里的臭石头，还在试图拒我。冷笑着，)
O:I still cannot believe you. You know, we have an preassumption that every
applicant for visa has the intention of immigration. I have the responsibili
ty to make sure that our visa is issue to the right ones to pretect the inte
rests of our US citizens.
(我这时候以经近乎绝望了，混身燥热。没办法，再搏最后一把)
M：I can understand that. But I think I can convince you that your preassump
tion is not suitable for me. I agree that USA is a very nice country, but it
is not a land that everyone wants to live there. Since it is difficult to a
chieve my goal in USA, which include high social position and respectable so
cial status, obsulotely I will be among those 5% who will come back to China
. Actually most of the scholars who returned to China are very successful. H
ere I can give you a good example of my father, (这时米国老头好象被打动了,身
子扭了一下) who has been a visiting scholar in university of XXX at XXX(米国
最牛的大学之一，真的) for several years. He is now a division head in a top
chinese university and owns the world wide famous reputaion in his area. He
was invited to attend a United Nations conference held at Los Angeles as a s
pecial expert, and he will be invited to Singapore by the government to give
letures this year. I am proud of him, and I hope he will also be proud of m
y future achievement.(我所说的都是真事，有案可查的)。
　　这时候老头以经被感动了，他默默的在我的OF156表上写着什么，有十几秒没有出
声，似乎还在为自己竟然还有拒绝这个真诚而自信的年轻人的念头而感到悔恨与羞愧，
他有一个多么 NB的好爸爸啊！然后
O:What is the university where your father has been staying?
O:His name?
O:Which is the university he is now working?
　　我一一据实回答，他在我的OF156上记录。这时候我终于看到了曙光。我真没想到
我能一口气挺到现在。我排练的时候从来也都没有把这么多段子一起练过。我想也就
是在新加坡了，在国内绝没有一个签证官会听我唠叨这么久(有十分钟，几本上是我在
说)，要拒干脆利落就把人给拒了。然后老头微笑着说：
O:Now I am convinced, I believe you will follow your father's track to pursu
e your dream and contribute your share to your nation.
我长出一口气
M:Thank you. I think my father will also appreiciate your kindness.
　　这时老头才开始看我的I20表，米国系主任写给大使馆的信(无非是吹了我一通)，
OFFER LETTER，GRE和TOEFL成绩单。不过这以经不重要了。他仅仅是扫了几眼，就把G和
T成绩单，我的清华成绩单和国大成绩单(还没拆呢)扔了出来。然后说
O:Congratulations， your visa is approved. You can choose collect it tomorro
w or wait another 40 minute for it will be processed.
(满面春风的爽朗的笑，其实我都快虚脱了)
M:That's great! Thanks again for your help. I prefer to collect my visa this
morning, if it is not very troublesome.
O:Sure you can. When it is ready, we will call you name.
M:Thank you! Thank you very much.
　　我转身往椅子上走的时候，感觉两条腿软软的。这时候十点半。十一点我拿到我那
到了护照和装I-20的信封。我回去拿包经过三号窗口的时候向老头扬了扬手，他也笑了
一下。
　　虽然险象环生，危机暗伏，签证还是拿到手了。现在回头一想，越想越玄，要是我
当中有什么犹豫或表达不到位的话，肯定就会被老头给拒了。这家伙一开始就没打算给
我签，否则就不会问我这些要命的问题，还屡次表示不相信我。幸好我准备充分，终于
用其中的一套段子搞定了这个老头。试想要是没有徐老师的哲学教材，那几个问题我绝
对对付不了。真是宝书哪！
总结一下，有几个事项签友们要注意：
1.一定要准备几个套路练熟。面试的时候你可能会被逼的要在移民倾向问题上反复解释
，要临时想出好几条铿锵有力的理由很难。而且即便你想好了理由也还不够，因为我们
一般来说英语的表达能力远未到随心所欲的地步，当场完全自由发挥难免有停顿结巴或
辞不达意，要是签证官心情不好的话很可能要找你的碴；
2.绝对不能心虚，任何时候都要表现出与签证官处于平等地位的自信。不是老子在求你
，是看得起你才在这跟你丫的瞎白唬。据徐老师说老米最欣赏的就是牛B，最鄙视的就是
傻B，有诗为证：NB是NB着的通行证，SB是SB者的墓志铭。所以一定要自信，不NB也得装
NB，更何况我们有的是NB的资本；
3.无论面试如何艰苦，即使签证官动了杀心，只要刀子还没没有砍到脖子上(就是在你的
护照上签字盖拒签章)，就要顽抗到底，一段一段背熟的话就使劲灌。我想除非签证官是
铁了心一定要拒你，一般还是架不住你以流利的口语，精彩的言辞晓之以理，冻之以情
的。
　　总而言之，就是精心准备，要作好被应付最坚苦局面的打算。虽说能不能拿到签证
归根到底是签证官的事，但我们完全有努力争取的机会。我们的现场表现实签证官唯一
作决定的
　　依据，命运有至少二分之一掌握在自己手里。Remember, splendid future only b
elongs to those who are brilliant and diligent(这一句是我编的，你在徐老师的教
材上找不着. 你要是觉得NB就可以在TOEFL作文里用上)。祝大家好运。
