I went to the US Consulate Shanghai to apply for the F-1 visa today. My appoin
tment time is 11:00am and when I entered the visa room, it looks very crowded.
 After submitting the docs, I sat in the 1st seat of the bench and glassboy is
 just in front of me. I waited there for almost 1 hour before my turn. The res
ult of F-1 application with full support seems encouraging, 100 percent passed
 according to my observation. And what impress me most is that the VOs are int
ended to help you obtain the visa, instead of trying to kill you, I mean the f
ull support obtainer. Hereunder is  the talk between the glassboy and me:
Me: Nice to meet you, sir!
VO: Hi!
    What's the name of the univ you will go?
Me: U.T.D.
VO: What's your major there?
Me: Chem.
VO: What's your highest degree?
Me: B.S. degree
VO: Which univ. you graduate from?
Me: Fudan univ.
Me: Fudan univ.
VO: Which year?
Me: 1998
VO: Let me see your I-20...(he said to himself)
    How many univs. admit you this time?
Me: 4
VO: Good! What are these univs.?
Me: Univ. A, B, C and D. (he threw out my docs. while I spoke the names of the
se univs.)
VO: Go to window C and wait for your visa.
Me: Thank you!

Everybody can judge from the above talk that what he asked are really dummy qu
estions, no fussy stuffs such as ur current status in China or return plan. Th
e milieu for F-1 in Shanghai is very nice currently, applicant should be there
 asap., in order to avoid some changes occur, just like what happen last June.
