比较罗嗦一点。主要是为了像我一样什么都不知道就傻呼呼跑去大使馆的后继兄弟姐妹们
。
个人背景：男，专业生物，浙大97, 毕业后到新加坡国大做了一年的ARO，实验室里面干活
的干活，学校UVa。
签证时间 5.23 早 8.00, 预约号码53号。事先未做任何问题准备与签证模拟练习，也未曾
仔细看过bbs上的实录。

然后就是排队。跟老爷爷老奶奶们挤成一团……不知道那些维持秩序的警卫们天天看见这
种情景心里在想些啥。

进去之后交I20,DS156157,Offer Letter,Passport然后拿到一个号码。

等待中。有五六个F1的兄弟姐妹。鼓励与被鼓励。……与自我鼓励。

开始只开了一个窗口，后来慢慢都开了。签证官们在里面打着呵欠开始处理材料。材料是
被成一排送上来的，感觉上好像是签证官随便抽一份，翻翻看看之后叫号码，然后就是问
些问题。

V: Which school are you going?

M: Univ of Virginia

V: Fine, where is it?

M: It’s in Charoletsville, Virginia.

V: So you are going for a Ph.D.’s degree? And which school are you from…

M: Yes, I am going to study in the department of Cell Biology for a Ph.D. degr
ee…I have got my B.S. degree from bio department in Zhejiang Univ…

V: Can you tell me sth about Cell Biology?

M: Sure. Basically it’s trying to understand the cell behaviors such as cell
adhesion cell migration during development, or the formation of some diseases…
(惭愧。我只知道这些，再说就说不下去了。幸好这时她打断了我的话)

V: O.K. So you’ve got the financial aid?
M: I hope it would be biotech and medicine…The bio med is booming nowadays an

V: Wait. You said you applied for Harvard Medical school?

M: Yes.

V: But you are studying Biological sciences. That’s a medical school!

M: Because they have the best biological science programs.

V: No.

M(得意): Yes. Most of the best research works in bio sciences are done in medi
cal schools, cz they have got enough from NIH, National Institute of Health, w
hich is a major resource of research fundings in bio sciences…

V: Just wait a moment.

M: Ah? （ 大吃一惊。她居然好像跑到里面问人去了。）

(two minutes……)

 big international companies in China such as Procter&Gamble…or maybe go for
d China is a huge market and so many foreign companies are trying to expend th
eir business here and I believe I can defeat them with my company cz I am nati
ve here and I believe I will know better about what people think and what they
 need…(说话时有点乱了)

V: Okok, but you didn’t convince me that you will be back to China. You can a
lso do your business in America..

M (nervous): But it’s much more difficult. To set up a company you need socia
l connections…

V: Still not convincing me.

M (jue dao)：See, I am the only son in my family and I have got to support my
mother father grandpa grandma…

V: To me that’s not a very good reason.

M (huang zhang): Eh…

V: ok. what will you do if I don’t give you the visa?

a Ph.D. degree in some univ in China. Usually I don’t think about backup plan
 before I tried and failed…

V: Window C.

M: ?

V: Go to window C to get your visa.

M (happy): Thank you so much.

整个过程大概有十几分钟。金发mm其实还是挺好的，感觉上都在放水。不过我去踩点的那
天有两个F1就在她手下壮烈了。所以……谁知道呢。

如果单身前往，强烈建议不要背包。不准带入签证处，在外面那群家伙趁机敲诈，存个包
20块钱。手机也别带了。没要我的成绩单，GT，毕业证，工作证明之类的东东。
