Statements for Love
For many a time, I’ve dreamed about the wonderful girl with whose company I’
ll happily go along. I don’t know who and where she is at present, but I thin
k the right girl I long for may be endowed with these qualities:
Kind ; Generous ; Optimistic ; Elegant ; Wise ; Responsible
To be more specific, followings are the further explanations:
1> Kind
A beautiful heart is more significant than a pretty appearance. Sympathy doesn
’t mean lowliness, but a behavior of dignity.
Do you still remember the classic line in the movie Schindler“s List: THAT IS
POWER!
2> Generous
I don’t think a selfish person could bring others even herself any happiness.
A generous heart may make more friends and possess more happiness.
I think an amiable girl could show more grace unexpectedly in every occasion.
3> Optimistic
Life can not always go well without any frustrations, so we have to look on th
e bright side at any time. Everything we meet on the road we are going on is j
ust a scenery, even a frustration. Moreover, things can only get better, if yo
u like.
I would like to see that my girl is always confident, full of sunshine, but no
t affected by vanity.
4> Elegant
Although most of boys dream of their girls to be a princess or a fairy, and on
ce upon a time so did I, a beautiful but shallow girl is not appreciated. She
doesn’t have to be too pretty, but at least she must not make me feel disgust
ed at the first sight.
Of course she doesn’t have to be a real princess or a fairy, but at least she
should act as an aristocrat, showing good taste, doing with care, skill, and
grace. I don’t think it contradicts the simple life-style at all.
Maybe she is not an expert or she has no degrees of Master or Doctor either. I
t doesn’t matter at all. But she must be well educated, that means—she has t
o have been brought up in a harmonious family and taken a formal senior educat
ion. A girl has grown up in a big city or several big cities will be more appr
eciated.
Wherever was she born, she has to master a fluent Mandarin.
I don’t want to talk about only fashion or professional knowledges with her w
hen we are together, but also some other deeper or more pleasant topics. A rom
antic and simple life is the right thing I want.
By the way, I love nature, and I wish my girl could share this feeling with me
.
5> Wise
If she is capable of telling what is correct from all the choices she may take
, our life will be peaceful and comfortable. If she could regulate herself bet
ween romantism and realism in the right occasions, our life will surely be col
orful and filled with the joy. Sometimes she may be simple-minded—that is app
reciated, but she has to know what should be done in the right occasion.
Home is a place where we could share all our feelings including joy, excitatio
n, dream, sorrow, desolation and sadness. Many marriages came to an end just b
ecause they were simply not compatible with each other. So if we can do most t
hings with tacit understanding, it would be perfect.
6> Honest and Responsible
If you need me to explain those to you, you’re not the right one I need.
7> Aspirant
Maybe a girl doesn’t need to be much too aspirant on career, but if one of th
e two stops from enhancing himself/herself, the rift between the two will be e
nlarged. I don’t think any affection could last long as the rift keeps growin
g.
I just want my girl to have an aspirant bearing, but don’t care too much abou
t honor, for neither don’t I.
8> Born during 1982-1989 is OK.
I don’t care too much about her age, if only she could make me feel that we a
re living in the contemporaneity without too much so-called “scholastic gener
ation gap”. But I just can not imagine that someone would mistake her for my
aunt or big elder sister while we are walking together.
9> The girl who is going to walk along the rest road of life with me perhaps d
oesn’t have to be too tall, 1.65-1.70 m is appreciated.
I would not care how slim she is if she has not a slender build which is as eq
ually graceful and equally erect as a willow shoot is, but I just do not want
my girl to be a plump one.
10> Traditional as well as open-minded.
Maybe for some periods we will live abroad, but I still prefer her to be tradi
tional in private life.
Although I’d like my girl to be vivacious, hoydenish and filled with vigor, b
ut of course, it is necessary for a girl to be chaste and decent as well.
11> Enjoying original culture is a behavior of elegant taste. So, it’s prefer
able that she master at least one foreign language besides English which I thi
nk is necessary in modern society.
12> A junior college student or any bachelor promoted from a junior college or
adult education etc. will be out of consideration;
Student majors or majored either of the following subjects in the university w
ill also be out of consideration:
Chemistry, Foreign Language (especially English), Art, Science of Computer
For a further supplement, a girl with a constant faith of Catholic will be muc
h more appreciated, for that I am a pious Catholic, and so are my families.
If she is not, at least she is not and will not be a member of any atheistic p
arty or other religions either!
