Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
        Creates plans to test features, functionality, or whole products,
including unit tests, functional tests, performance tests, scenario tests,
workflow tests, install tests, and interoperability tests. Documents test
design, test plans, and test results. Ensures that test plans are usable by
others. Participates in code and test plan reviews with rest of QA and
development team. May receive test cases from a QA Analyst and build test
scripts or automated tests with code.
        Executes test plans to find defects in product or features of products
.
Confirms defects and works with product development team to prioritize defects

and fix them. Logs defects in database for tracking and reporting. Receives
defect reports from other sources including customers, product support,
newsgroups, Applications Engineers (AEs) and confirms and tracks specific issu
e
for use by development.
        Participates in feature team meetings throughout the product
development life cycle. Works with development team on spec design to
proactively recognize and prevent issues from developing. Tests features to
ensure they will interact correctly with other features in production. Provide
s
input into feature design.
        Estimates, plans, schedules and coordinates software testing tasks for

themselves and others. Participates in software estimation process, such as
Delphi. Estimates resource time and costs.
        Writes code to run automated tests and deliver results. Conducts
coverage analysis and monitors the code (underlying code being touched).
Designs and develops harnesses or test suites to run tests including QA
Partner/Silk Test, API tests, VBA tests, C++ tests. May use or adapt commercia
l
off the shelf software test tools or develop custom applications. Creates or
uses vertical harnesses to handle multiple applications and analyze their
interactions. Sets up test bays including technical hardware, OS installs, tes
t
harnesses, licensing, and specific peripherals.
        Provides input to ReadMe file content to address existing defects and

issues in installed software.
        Works with system administrator to change or alter system configuratio
n
or environment in order to run specific tests. Restores configuration after
testing.
        May act as feature lead or technical lead on large features or
projects. Leads assigned tasks and mentors others. At senior levels, may coach

others on testing tools and methodologies, including defect tracking system.
Serves as technical resource to other members of the team (including but not
limited to Testing team, Software Developers, Product Managers and Product
Support).
        May support beta programs or QA driven customer events, including mass

testing efforts such as test fests.
Requirements:
1.      At least 3 years of working experience in software quality assurance o
r
development
2.      BS degree (or above) in the following fields: Mechanical Engineering,

Mechanics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or related
;
3.      Familiar with CAD/CAE software. Inventor skills are a plus;
4.      Strong learning ability to catch up quickly;
5.      Good command of both written and spoken English;
6.      Programming skills are a plus;
7.      Team worker.
