The Position:
Scientist - BioPharm Downstream Purification
Base in Shanghai

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Master or above on chemical-engineering. Have 2 years above of practical
industrial experience in process development or production of
biopharmaceuticals;
* Practical, hands-on, industrial experience and theoretical knowledge of the
basic techniques used for downstream purification of biopharmaceuticals
(filtration, chromatography, centrifugation, etc.) at pilot or process scale.
Good understanding of the basics of process economy;
* Excellent written communication skills in English and Chinese;
* Enthusiastic, optimistic, self-motivated achiever.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Adapting presentations and lectures prepared by worldwide FastTrak
organization to the Chinese market needs;
* Conducting Lectures and practical training on downstream purification
including both chromatography & membrane separation techniques, cGMP
implementation and State FDA regulations;
* Develop good working relationships with key account scientists; Identifying,
soliciting and securing application development collaborations with key account
customers. Conduct Experimental work on customer projects. Delivering final
reports on experimental wok performed for customers;
* Develop expertise for downstream process development, operation of large

scale bioprocess equipment and State FDA regulatory environment to support
sales department and customers with advice. Coordinating training courses with
the sales department; planning and implementing training events;
* Meeting performance targets for Fast Trak Education and Process Development;
* Publish in trade journals or peer reviewed scientific journals at least once
a year. Present scientific results in poster or lecture session in key
scientific meetings.
DESIRED:
* Preferably has Ph.D degree on Chemical engineering;
* Preferably at a major biotech or biopharmaceutical company.
