  韩国电子通信研究院在韩国具有半机关性质，北京设有办事处是韩国电子通信研究院在
海外设立的唯一一个研究中心，现欲招聘两名博士研究员进行研发，主要是对MIMO与OFDM
相关技术的研究，工作地点在北京，主要是paper work, 对于喜欢做paper work的同学来

附件：Job opportunity in ETRI Beijing R&D Center
Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) Beijing Research 
and Development
Center is looking for mobile telecommunication research engineers with ambitio
n and capability with Chinese nationality.
ETRI is a non-profit government-funded research organization in Republic of Ko
rea and its R&D center in Beijing has been supporting ETRI’s cooperative rese
arch projects with Chinese government and major universities. We are now going
 to start a new research project in Beijing with Chinese specialists.
For the time being, we are planning to find two engineers, hopefully each from
 other schools.

Project Description
The project is focusing on PHY and MAC layer of future wireless technologies. 
It includes research and development of state-of-art technologies in the follo
wing fields：
•MIMO, OFDM
•Modulation, Coding
•Power control
•Handoff
•Not restricted to the above list
As we are on its beginning state, the detail research target area will be disc
ussed.

Main Responsibility
Main responsibility includes following activities：
•propose and discuss* appropriate research area; and
•write papers, patents and reports**
•make contribution to standard organizations

* The proposal will be discussed among the engineers in Beijing R&D center, an
d ETRI Korea.
** Two engineers will run separate projects but they have close technical rela
tionship.

Research Method:
As each project is going to be self-run project, the engineer is going to have
 discussion with
cooperative research project teams in China and;
ETRI engineers in Korea.
The project discussion with ETRI Korea is supposed to be held once or twice a 
quarter year.

Qualifications
•Ph. D in Electrical Engineering or any related area;
•Strong level of self-motivation
•Strong ability in paper works
•Proficiency in English.
•Work experience in a reputed project or establishment
•Good communications skills and good team spirit;
•Able to travel sometimes.

- Only after one fiscal year

Contract
The contract will be yearly basis and it will be extended if there's no much p
roblem in his/her project achievement.
* Satisfactory evaluation of your achievement may further lead you to a positi
on in ETRI headquarter in Daejon Korea.

Schedule
We hope to start work around Sep. 2006.
