Title: Lead/Senior Engineer - Control System Development - 380210

Job Description:

QUALIFICATIONS: 
* The ideal candidate will possess a PhD in an engineering discipline with a s
pecialization in control systems, or a Masters Degree with at least three year
s of relevant experience.
* Demonstrated understanding and practical experience on industrial products a
nd processes.
* Knowledge of control systems, first-principle based modeling, signal process
ing, estimation theory, system identification and optimization are required, a
s well as simulation and coding skills using MATLAB/Simulink or other similar 
simulation packages. Good software skills in C/C++
* Good interpersonal and communication skills. (Must be able to communicate ef
fectively both in written and oral English in a global team.) 
* Self-motivated and capable of working independently on extended assignments.
 
* Teamwork spirit with demonstrated ability to work in a global team.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
* Performs R&D in control systems for products and processes for a wide variet
y of GE businesses, develop new control system technologies for a wide range o
f GE products. 
* Take responsibility for concept development, control algorithm analysis and 
development, system modeling, optimization and simulation, software developmen
t and/or hardware implementation such as rapid control prototyping and hardwar
e-in-loop simulation
* Document the results of these activity through patent applications, technica
l reports and publications
* Work within the Real-time/Power Controls Lab at GE Global Research-Shanghai 
and collaborate with a diverse team both at GE GRC and within the GE businesse
s.
