I. Job Vacancy
Software Engineer (Vacancy Code CRE0601)

Responsibilities: 

As a software research engineer, you will be working with a group of highly tr
ained professionals to design, develop, test and integrate both platform and a
pplication-level software solutions in the following areas: 
•    Document management systems, document workflow, text retrieval & na
tural language processing, network & Internet security, Web services & Web-bas
ed applications 
•    Multimedia content management, eGovernment system and applications 

•    Embedded software development 
•    System Design and Solution Proposal
Minimum Qualifications: 
•    BS in computer science or related majors. 
•    Strong analytical and problem solving skills. A hands-on skill in J
ava and/or C/C++ is a must. Good understanding and programming experience of u
sing J2EE and/or .NET framework are preferred. 
•    A working knowledge of relational database systems, i.e., Oracle, D
B2, Sybase, SQL Server, and/or Linux. (Knowledge on IC card and RFID is prefer
able). 
•    Good English communication skills (verbal and written). TOEIC test 
taker is preferable.
•    Japanese communication skills would be plus for some areas describe
d above.





Software Engineer (Vacancy Code CRE0602)

Position Objectives:
Our imaging group is focusing on three fast-growing research fields: Design an
d implementation of image quality analysis tools for next generation products;
 Research on new image security technology to protect paper documents; Develop
 new pattern recognition technologies. 
Essential Functions:
•    Responsible for research new image processing algorithm.
•    Develop image processing algorithm in C and C++ on UNIX and Windows
 platforms
•    Release fully developed and tested application into products.
•    Deploy developed method to Ricoh’s varies models of MFP.

Minimum Qualifications:
•    Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related engineering field (P
hD is a plus).
•    Must have 2+ years professional experience in high-tech technology 
research/development with an emphasis in digital image processing.
•    Knowledge of watermarking technology or document image processing i
s preferred
•    Proficient in UNIX, LINUX, Windows, C, C++ and software development
 methods. 
•    Experience of Matlab is a plus.
•    Excellent oral and written English communication skills required. T
OEIC test taker is preferable.
