OSRAM in China

Known as the German Lighting expert, OSRAM is a SIEMENS owned Company.Being on

e of the two largest lamp manufacturers worldwide, OSRAM plays an important ro

le in the international lighting market, boasting its products globally across

140 nations, as well as 53 manufacturers in 19 countries.

In April 1995, OSRAM Germany founded a wholly owned foreign enterprise in Chin

a, OSRAM Foshan Lighting Co., Ltd. (Renamed as OSRAM China Lighting Ltd.on Dec

20th 2004), bringing with it the most advanced German lighting technology. 49

.7 million Euros was invested, among which OSRAM Germany has the largest share

of 90%. Occupying 105,000 m2, OCN is completely equipped with production and

warehouse facilities.

Being the important part of OSRAM global strategy, OSRAM China Lighting Co., L

td. is the centre of OSRAM Asia and the Pacific area. OCN is currently the big

gest manufactory and sales center for OSRAM in China, dedicated to bringing th

e most advanced and outstanding lighting products to the Chinese market. The e

stablishment of OSRAM CHINA was a vital step for OSRAM''s global strategy for

the Far East Region, increasing the capability of products to be purveyed in C

hina, as well as other Asian countries.

Here, German and Chinese lighting specialists are brought together to design h

igh quality lighting products and research in new lighting areas. More than 50

00 types of lighting products and systems are produced by OSRAM, bring advance

d, economical and comfortable lighting to modern life and leading the lighting

trend. Its product range covers fluorescent lamps, compact fluorescent lamps,

high intensity discharge lamps, tungsten-halogen lamps, automotive lamps, mot

OSRAM has other two factories in China. Its total employee number is more than

5000.
