Title: Graphics Research Scientist

Business Group Overview 

The mission of the Corporate Technology Group is to drive Intel's technology
 leadership.  This includes coordinating research and development among seve
ral business groups and aligning Intel's strategies and technologies with in
dustry needs.  The goal is to accelerate the convergence of computing and co
mmunications.

Job description: 

Responsible for conducting research on future graphics (raster, physical sim
ulation etc.), also analyze their characteristics.

The candidates should have strong background in research on graphics, e.g. r
aster scan conversion of complex scenes (convert from 3D polygons into 2D tr
iangles on a display) and physical simulation of light (ray tracing, global 
illumination etc), physical simulation of various phenomena - how objects in
teract with one another when they collide, physical simulation of water, hum
ans, human faces, hair etc.

Research/engineering experience and achievements in at least one of below sp
ecific research areas are also highly desired.

Knowledge in computer architecture, parallel computing (various kinds of par
allelism: Data, Thread and Instruction Level Parallelism)

Optimization of graphics workload in special purpose hardware (e.g. GPU) 

Other requirements:

Master's degree and above. 

Proved record in conducting challenging research tasks (publications) are pr
eferred.
