General Summary:

Responsible for the design and/or development of software for platforms, 
perip
herals, applications or tools using a range of applicable technologies 
(e.g.,
programming languages, compilers, assemblers and other tools) and 
state-of-the
-art software engineering methodologies. The Software Engineer Job Family 
incl
udes engineering positions for the development and support of applications, 

da
tabases, diagnostics, firmware, drivers, BIOS, utilities, and scripts.



Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop, test, and integrate code for new or existing software using 
defined s
oftware lifecycle methodologies.
Provide sustaining or maintenance support to existing software.
Perform peer code reviews.
Ensure source code and file revision control for projects.
Replicate, debug, and provide status for issues generated by the 
appropriate t
est group.
Prepare written specifications from verbal requirements for tasks of 
mid-level
 complexity.
Review and implement test strategies for software products.
Test Software, Integrate Software & Deliver Complete Software.



Requirement

Versed in use of the appropriate editor, compiler, assembler, debugger, 
etc. f
or whatever programming language is expected to be used (assembly, C, C++, 
SQL
, C Shop, Java, etc.)
Versed in the concept and use of revision control software.
Versed in basic debugging and fundamental logical skills.
Understanding of software engineering processes and methodologies.
Versed in use of MS-Word Processor, MS-Outlook, MS-Power Point, MS-Excel.
Able to apply Software Lifecycle and Quality Assurance methodologies in a 
cost
-effective manner to bring high-quality products to market on time.
Detail-oriented with attention to product quality.
Strong verbal and written communication both in Chinese and English.
Ability to manage multiple programs and/or areas simultaneously.
