Internship  - signal processing 

Responsibilities: 

Responsible for signal processing algorithm development and optimization as we
ll as real time implementation in a global research team. The algorithm is to 
address complex dynamics in mechanical system. Successful candidate will work 
2-3 months in General Electric(GE) Global Research Center (Shanghai) on Gas Tu
rbine Controls program for GE power system. 
He or she is expected to attend project team meeting to understand the technic
al requirement/deliverables for his/her specific task, carry out design work i
ndependently and initiate discussion with the project member in GE Global Rese
arch Center. 
Qualifications/Requirements: 

MS or PhD student in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. 
Solid knowledge in filter design and structure, time frequency analysis, wavel
et analysis and statistical signal processing. Adaptive filtering is a plus. 

Strong expertise in real-time digital signal processing algorithm and system i
s desired 
Strong software skills - C or C++ expertise. TI TMS320C6711 coding is a real p
lus. 
Strong simulation skills desired. Matlab/Simulink, Labview/Labview CVI. dSPACE
 based rapid control prototyping experience is preferred. 
In depth knowledge on DAQ system 
Team work , good communication and English skills
